Québec has put in place three immigration programs designed to facilitate the reception of businessmen who would like to immigrate, namely the Entrepreneur Program, the Investor Program and the Self-Employed Worker Program.

If you want to immigrate to Québec but don’t know where to start, we propose a 4-step approach:
Step 1
Collect information on the “MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut” and its business climate; consult our profile of the community; we’ll send you an information kit about the region.
Before anything else, we recommend that you take a fact-finding trip to Québec. Depending on the Immigration Program of your choice, this trip will allow you to come to grips with your business project and get a first-hand look at the main aspects of your business plan. This will help you support your project during the selection interview. The credibility and feasibility of planned projects are an important part of the selection process for business immigrants.

As transactions involving business opportunities are often found amongst informal settings, accessing and joining business networks can only work in your favour. We are your gateway to the region, whether you launch a new enterprise or acquire an existing one.
If your business destination is the “MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut”, we suggest you contact our Commissioner responsible for the reception of business immigrants. Several resources are at your disposal to help you prepare your Business Plan and learn the procedures required to start a business in Québec. We can also introduce you to various other interveners and partners who could prove useful during your planning.
Step 3
Completing a Business Immigration Request
Your business project is confirmed, you have been seduced by the charm of the “MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut”, you plan to immigrate to our region to conduct business and you want to complete and present an official immigration request; it is important to note that no priority or particular treatment can apply to your case when you retain the services of an immigration intermediary. Step 4
Taking up residence and facilitating the integration of your family
Various services are offered by the “Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles du Québec” and its partners to new entrants. These will help you save time and accelerate your installation and integration in Québec.
