Pays-d’en-Haut
The “Municipalité régionale de comté des Pays-d’en-Haut” (MRC)
Located at the Heart of the Laurentians, 60km north of the great city of Montréal, in the Province of Québec, the population of the MRC, in 2010, numbered close to 40,000 permanent residents and 17,000 seasonal vacationers.
The MRC is nestled in the midst of a population centre of 3 million persons (Laurentian, Laval, Lanaudière and Montréal regions), and the Laurentian region alone has more than 500,000 residents.
With a surface area of 692 square kilometres, the MRC is comprised of 10 municipalities: Estérel, Lac-des-Seize-Îles, Morin Heights, Piedmont, Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, Saint-Sauveur, Sainte-Adèle, Sainte-Anne-des-Lac, Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson and Wentworth-North; Saint-Sauveur and Sainte-Adèle are the largest population centres.
